[만유 내재신론 (萬有內在神論)
만유가 신 안에 속하며, 신은 또한 만유에 내재하는 동시에 만유에서 초월하여 존재한다는 이론. 신의 만유로부터의 초월성을 주장한다는 점에서 범신론(pantheism)과 유신론(theism)을 종합하고 있다. (Naver 어학사전)]
“Panentheism” is a constructed word composed of the English equivalents of the Greek terms “pan”, meaning all, “en”, meaning in, and “theism”, derived from the Greek ‘theos’ meaning God.
만유내재신론(Panentheism)은 그리스어로 “모든 것”을 의미하는 팬(pan)과 “안(속)”을 의미하는 엔(en), 그리고 신을 의미하는 그리스어 테오스(theos)에서 파생된 "유신론"(theism)의 영어 등가어로 구성된 합성어이다.
Panentheism considers God and the world to be interrelated with the world being in God and God being in the world. It offers an increasingly popular alternative to both classical theism and pantheism.
만유내재신론(Panentheism)은 세계가 신 안에 있고 신이 세계 안에 존재하는 상호 관련적 신관을 말한다. 이 신관은 고전주의적 유신론 [유대교, 기독교, 회교, 등이 주장해온 theism]과 [우리가 익히 알고 있는] 범신론(pantheism), 그 두 신관에 대한 대안으로 점진적인 인기를 얻고 있다.
Classical theistic systems often prioritize the difference between God and the world while panentheism stresses God’s active presence in the world and the world’s influence upon God.
고전주의적 유신론의 체계들은 세상을 초월하는 신과 그가 초월하는 그 세상 사이의 격리와 차이를 흔히 [주로?] 우선시하는 반면, 만유내재신론(Panentheism)은 신이 세계를 초월함과 동시에 세계 안에 내재하는 것이라는 입장인데, 그 내재는 [수동적인 내재가 아니라] 능동적인 내재이며, [그가 내재하는] 그 세계 또한 신에게 영향력을 행사한다는, 그런 신관이다.
While pantheism emphasizes God’s presence in the world, panentheism maintains the identity and significance of the non-divine.
범신론이 세계 속[에 내재하는] 신의 [전체적이고 총체적인] 임재를 강조한다면, 만유내재신론은 비신, [즉 신이 아닌 것들, 우리가 신이라고 볼 수 없는 것들]의 정체성과 중요성을 [포기하지 않고 존중하며] 유지하려 한다. [여기서 나올 수 있는 독자의 질문: 예를 들어 범신론은 바람, 흙, 나무, 돌 등에도 신이 스며들어 있고, 따라서 그들과 신을 구별하지 않는다면, 만유내재신론은 그 구별을 포기하지 않고 유지한다는 뜻?]
